KEVIN D. ELSE

Kevin Else

Style/Form

Internal Styles: Yang Style Tai Chi, Chen Style Tai Chi, Xingyi (Hsing I), and Bagua

Activities

Spend time with my family, practice the internal arts, play push hands, maintain Master Li's website (yes, you can blame me), play chess, and stay involved in my community.

Goals

Master the three (3) most popular internal kungfu styles/systems: Tai Chi, Xingyi (Hsing I),and Bagua. Compete with these systems in fighting competitions (no, not just push hands).

I would like to help promote the internal arts within the United States and Internationally.

Achievements

Awarded Tai Ji Black Belt Sash by Master Li Pei Yun on November 18th, 2005.

As a fairly busy corporate attorney, my major achievement is in maintaining a consistent training schedule over the last several years. Under the leadership and training of Master Li Pei Yun, I have competed in local, national and international martial arts championships. See below.

I've been lucky enough to meet all four of the Four Buddha's Warrior Attendants or Four Tigers of Chen Taijiquan:
Chen Xiaowang, Chen Zhenglei, Wang Xian and Zhu Tiancai.

In addition, while visiting China in 2007, I had the amazing opportunity to meet and train with one of the top Xing Yi/Bagua/Sun Style Taiji practitioners, Master Zhang Xin Ming.
